Outlook: GM Rick Smith did an excellent job of upgrading Houston’s secondary, but the Texans should continue to add depth, especially with elite teams spreading defenses out. The Texans currently lack a true nose tackle to anchor their 3-4 defense. QB Matt Schaub has missed 20 games in five seasons, so they'd be wise to have a better backup plan than T.J. Yates in place. A receiver to compliment Andre Johnson in the passing game would take an already potent offense to different levels.
Team Needs: CB, NT, QB, & WR
Outlook: It seems unnecessary to list QB as a need since Andrew Luck is undoubtedly heading for Indianapolis. Therefore, the Colts should consider protecting him by adding another tackle. Last year’s first rounder, Anthony Castonzo, could move to the right side to pave the way for a new OLT. New Coach Chuck Pagano is probably going to overhaul the entire Indy defense. In other words, a new look front seven and secondary is in the works.
Team Needs: CB, DL, OLT, & OLB
Outlook: Look for the Jaguars to do whatever it takes to surround QB Blaine Gabbert with more talent. They could start along the offensive line, where Eben Britton could kick inside and play guard or even move to ORT. An even bigger priority, however, is finding Gabbert pass catchers. The Jaguars would love to land an impact receiver in free agency or the draft. They also need an upgrade at TE, as Marcedes Lewis regressed last season after a monster 2010 campaign. This will sound like a broken record for Jaguar fans, but the Jags must upgrade their pass rush. They finished 30th in sacks a year ago.
Team Needs: DE, OT, TE, & WR
Outlook: Both Cortland Finnegan and Michael Griffin are free agents, so odds are low the Titans retain each of them. As a result, look for the secondary to take priority this off-season, especially on draft day. The Titans are always in the market for defensive lineman. DE Derrick Morgan, a former first round selection, has underachieved thus far. The offense also must get better as the team likely transitions from QB Matt Hasselbeck to Jake Locker. A new guard to pave the way for Chris Johnson and a possession receiver would make that transition go smoother.
Team Needs: DB, DL, OG & WR
